Demand for Turkish rebar in the global market has remained at low levels during the past week, while buyers in Turkey's target markets for its rebar exports are still only purchasing Turkish rebar in line with their immediate needs, Meanwhile, as a result of negotiations made before the ex-Turkey rebar deals concluded this week, Turkish rebar offers to the export markets have declined by $10/mt week on week on the lower end to $380-415/mt FOB.

In the current week, a Turkish exporter has concluded a rebar sale to Egypt at $380/mt FOB on actual weight basis, while another ex-Turkey deal has been concluded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for 25,000 mt of rebar at $395-400/mt CFR on theoretical weight basis.

In the coming week, transaction activity for Turkish rebar exports is expected to be characterized by sluggishness due to the end-of-Ramadan holiday (July 4-7).
