Declines in prices of some wire rod grades in Taiwanese market – week 25

The new wire rod prices in the local Taiwanese steel market are at the following levels:

Low carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 21,800-22,800/mt ($730-764/mt)

Medium carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 24,000-24,500/mt ($804-821/mt)

High carbon 5.5-12 mm

NTD 24,000-24,500/mt ($804-821/mt)

Low alloyed 5.5-12 mm

NTD 28,000-28,500/mt ($938-955/mt)

CHQ 5.5-32 mm

NTD 26,000-26,300/mt ($871-881/mt)

The above prices include five percent VAT and are also delivered to customer. The prices, which have declined by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) for some grades, are for early June shipments.
