Meanwhile, sources, who state that sales for March production
wire rod are about to close, inform SteelOrbis that buyers have been putting pressure on
CIS mills by seeking cuts in
wire rod offers citing softer scrap prices. However, the expected recovery of demand in line with the approach of spring provides support for
CIS wire rod producers.
In addition,
CIS wire rod offers to Europe have also trended sideways since last week, remaining at $600-615/mt DAP.
