According to market sources, ex-CIS billet offers have remained stable over the past week in the range of $365-370/mt FOB, for May shipment. Market sources state that CIS-based suppliers are seeking to keep their billet prices unchanged, having revised them upwards last week, while Turkish buyers' firm bids are $5-10/mt lower than the current ex-CIS prices. No new ex-CIS billet deals have yet been heard in the Turkish market this week, since market players prefer to use scrap instead of billet due to the firm trend of scrap prices.
