During the week ending September 28, Chinese export offer prices wire rod have followed a slight downtrend. At present, boron-added rebar offers to Southeast Asia given by Chinese suppliers are at $345-355/mt FOB, while boron-added wire rod offers from Chinese suppliers to the same destination are at $365-375/mt FOB.

During the given week, domestic rebar and wire rod prices have only indicated slight fluctuations, resulting in the relative stability of export prices, with just slight declines seen in export offer prices for wire rod, while rebar export offer prices have remained unchanged. Meanwhile, as the National Day Holiday (October 1-7) is approaching, domestic rebar and wire rod prices will unlikely indicate any significant change. It is thought that Chinese export offer prices for rebar and wire rod will also move on a stable trend in the coming week.
