During the week ending September 14, Chinese export offer prices for rebar and wire rod have indicated a downward trend. At present, boron-added rebar offers to Southeast Asia given by Chinese suppliers are at $350-360/mt FOB, while boron-added wire rod offers from Chinese suppliers to the same destination are at $375-385/mt FOB.

During the given week, the downtrend in domestic rebar and wire rod prices in China have negatively affected export offers, causing traders and steelmakers to reduce their export offer prices. Meanwhile, due to the Mid-Autumn Day holiday (September 15-18), the export offer prices will likely move on a stable trend, while it is expected that Chinese export offer prices for rebar and wire rod may edge down further after the holiday.
