Cascade Steel raises rebar prices across the board

In a letter to customers Thursday, Cascade Steel Rolling Mills said it will increase the transaction price on all rebar, including coil rebar, effective with all new orders as of April 22, 2016.

Rebar sizes #4 through #18 will increase by $1.25 cwt. ($25/nt or $28/mt). Sizes #4 through #8 at 20’ lengths will increase an additional $0.50 cwt. ($10/nt or $11/mt) for a total increase of $1.75 cwt. $35/nt or $39/mt). And #3 rebar in all lengths will increase by $1.50 cwt. ($30/nt or $33/mt) over #4-#8 20ft rebar.  Additionally, all coiled rebar will increase by $1.25 cwt. ($25/nt or $28/mt).

The company said old orders placed prior to April 22 will be price protected if shipped by May 2, 2016.
