Burmese government buys import billet and rebar

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that in the past week the Burmese government has concluded an import transaction for 30,000 mt of billets, partly from Taiwan, at the price level of $580/mt CIF Yangon.
 
In the meantime, the Burmese government has also bought 20,000 mt of ex-China boron-added BS4449 Gr460B rebar at the price level of $560/mt CIF Yangon.
