SteelOrbis has learned that Bulgarian mills' domestic mesh and drawing quality wire rod prices have remained unchanged as compared to last week and are still at BGN 1,040-1,060/mt ($698-711/mt) CPT on actual weight basis, exclusive of 20 percent VAT. However, some transactions have been concluded below this range.
In the Bulgarian domestic market, mills had been forced to raise their wire rod prices in response to increasing raw material, billet and rebar prices. Bulgarian wire rod mills are now hoping to gain acceptance for their increased prices.
