Bulgarian mills expected to lower merchant bar prices

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that merchant bar prices in the Bulgarian domestic market have remained unchanged in the past month. Accordingly, angle prices are still standing at BGN 1,160-1,170/mt ($740-747/mt), while flat bar prices are at BGN 1,210-1,240/mt ($772-791/mt) and channel prices are at BGN 1,170-1,180/mt ($747-753/mt), all on actual weight basis, for deliveries to customer and exclusive of 20 percent VAT. In the meantime, Bulgarian producers are expected to cut their prices by about BGN 20/mt ($13/mt) in their new price lists to be issued today, June 26.
