According to two different local exporters, the Brazilian export wire rod prices have remained in a price range of $600/mt to $608/mt, FOB conditions, with reference to the mesh grade product.
For the drawing grade product, the reference price, under the same conditions, is also unchanged, at $627/mt.

“At such price level, we remain competitive in our main markets, the US, South America and the Caribbean,” one of the sources said.

In June, the local arm of ArcelorMittal exported 24,400mt of wire rod in at an average price of $567/mt, while Gerdau exported 12,000mt of the product at an average price of $518/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in April.
