SteelOrbis has been informed that billet prices in the Turkish market have decreased by $10/mt over the past week to $520-535/mt ex-works. Even though the tightness in billet supply has continued in the Turkish market, prices have softened due to the weak demand situation, to which the fluctuations seen in rebar prices have contributed.

Meanwhile, ex-CIS billet offers to Turkey are at $510-520/mt CFR. Buyers have started negotiations with suppliers for lower prices. On the other hand, no new billet transaction has been heard since last week.
