Billet prices for rebar production in the local Italian market are currently at €450-460/mt ($669-684/mt) delivered to rolling mill in northern Italy, on 60-day open account basis, excluding VAT.

In line with the longs market in Italy, the Italian domestic billet market is also on an increasing trend. The price of billet for merchant bar production is at €465-470/mt ($691-699/mt). In spite of the upward trend in question, the Italian billet market is not yet ready to accept offers from the Turkish and CIS producers.
