Billet prices for rebar production in the local Italian market are currently at around €390/mt ($551/mt) delivered to rolling mill in northern Italy, on 60-day open account basis, excluding VAT.
Due to the softness in the longs market, prices in the Italian billet market have declined slightly. Although the longs market is not very strong at present, sales quantities are not that bad since the price levels of ex-Turkey and ex-Ukraine billet are currently not competitive.
