Bearish sentiment prevails in local Italian wire rod market

In the Italian domestic market, local producers' drawing quality wire rod prices currently stand at €430-440/mt ($486-497/mt) delivered to customer, down €20-30/mt ($23-34/mt) since early May. Demand in the market is at low levels, while sentiment in bearish. Customers are now waiting for major decreases, but producers are not expected to make sharp cuts to their prices.
