On February 18, Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (
WISCO) issued its steel sales prices for March shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with February prices):
Rolled plate
The prices of high carbon steel have increased by RMB 400/mt ($63/mt), while the prices of common carbon steel and low alloy steel have increased by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt). Furthermore, the price of common vessel steel plate has increased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt), and the price of wear-resistant steel plate has increased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). The price of high-strength welded steel plate has increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt). Accordingly, 14-40 mm Q235A and 14-40 mm Q345A grade plate prices are still standing at RMB 3,900/mt ($621/mt) and RMB 4,010/mt ($638/mt) respectively.
Hot rolled (HR)
The prices of all hot rolled products have increased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). As a result, the prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC grade hot rolled coil (
HRC), 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 grade
HRC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 grade
HRC are respectively standing at RMB 4,170/mt ($664/mt), RMB 4,130/mt ($657/mt) and RMB 4,090/mt ($651/mt).
Pickled and oiled
The prices of SPHC, SPHD, SPHE pickled and oiled products have increased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt), while the prices SAPH and QStE pickled and oiled products have remained unchanged. Other pickled and oiled products have increased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt).
The prices of pickled and oiled products for application in household appliances have increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt).
Cold rolled (CR)
Common carbon cold rolled (CR): the prices of welded steel products have increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt), the prices of WLS350 common cold rolled steel have increased by RMB 360/mt ($57/mt), while the prices of other products have increased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). Furthermore, common carbon cold rolled steel with thickness less than 0.9 mm have increased by a further RMB 40/mt ($6/mt),
High carbon cold rolled (CR): the prices of all high carbon cold rolled steel products have increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt).
Deep-drawing high-strength cold rolled (CR): the prices of St37-2G deep-drawing high-strength cold rolled steel have remained unchanged, while the prices of other products have increased by RMB 120/mt ($19/mt).
As a result, the price of 1.0 mm Q195 grade cold rolled steel has risen to RMB 4,610/mt ($734/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x CQ195 grade cold rolled steel has increased to RMB 4,610/mt ($734/mt).
Hot dip
galvanized (HDG)
The prices of DX51, DX52 and DX53 HDG products have increased by RMB 220/mt ($35/mt), while the prices of other HDG products have increased by RMB 120/mt ($19/mt). The price of 1.0 mm DX51D+Z HDG coil is now standing at RMB 5,020/mt ($799/mt).
Electro-
galvanized,
The prices of CQ and higher grades of electro-
galvanized products have increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt), while the prices of other products have remained unchanged.
Tinplate
The prices of
tinplate products of thickness less than 0.26 mm have increased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt), while the prices of
tinplate products of thickness not less than 0.26 mm have increased by RMB 150/mt ($23/mt). The price of 0.24 mm MR electro-tinplated coil is now standing at RMB 6,150/mt ($979/mt), while the price of 0.28 mm MR electro-tinplated coil has increased to RMB 6,020/mt ($958/mt).
Color-
coated
The prices of all color
coated products have increased by RMB 220/mt ($31/mt). Currently, the price of 0.45 mm TDC51D+Z color
coated is at RMB 6,080/mt ($968/mt).
Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel
The prices of low steel grade non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel products have increased by RMB 300/mt ($47/mt), while the prices of high and medium steel grade non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel have increased by RMB 200/mt ($31/mt). Accordingly, the price of 0.5 mm 50ww600 NGO silicon steel has risen to RMB 5,660/mt ($901/mt), while the price of 0.5 mm 50ww800 NGO silicon steel has increased to RMB 5,670/mt ($902/mt).
Grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel
The prices of all grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel products have remained unchanged. Currently, the price of 0.3 mm 30Q120 GO silicon steel is standing at RMB 14,440/mt ($2,299/mt),
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effectively immediately.
