The prices of flat steel products from major Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) for September shipment are as follows (comparisons being with August prices):
1. Prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) products for automotive application have increased by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt), while prices of other hot rolled coil products have risen by RMB 260/mt ($38/mt). As a result, the new price of Q235 5.5 mm × 1,500 mm is RMB 4, 160/mt ($612/mt), while that of SPHC 2.75 mm × 1,250 mm is RMB 4,300/mt ($633/mt).
2. Prices of common carbon, low alloy and premium carbon steel plates have increased by RMB 260/mt ($38/mt), while prices of other steel plate products have remained unchanged. Thus, the new price of Q235 14-20 mm medium plate stands at RMB 4,380/mt ($645/mt).
3. Wire rod prices have been raised by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt).
4. Prices of common carbon cold rolled (CR) products have increased by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt), while prices of other cold rolled products have gone up by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt). As a result, the new price of DC01 1.0 mm cold plate is RMB 5,200/mt ($765/mt).
5. Prices of common carbon galvanized coil have increased by RMB 400/mt ($58/mt) and other galvanized coil product prices have risen by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt), with the new price of DX51D+Z 1.0 mm galvanized coil standing at RMB 5,223/mt ($770/mt).
6. Structural product prices have remained unchanged
7. Prices of non-grain-oriented silicon steel, of low and medium grades, have increased by RMB 800/mt ($117/mt), with the price of high grade material increasing by RMB 200-500/mt ($29-73/mt)
8. Color coated product prices have remained unchanged.
