On October 12, Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) issued its steel sales prices for November shipment. The details are as follows (all comparisons being with October prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC) and hot rolled sheet (HRS)
The prices of all hot rolled products have decreased by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt).
Accordingly, the prices of 3.0 mm x 1,250 mm SPHC grade HRC, 2.75 mm x 1,250 mm Q235 grade HRC and 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm Q235 grade HRC are respectively standing at RMB 3,820/mt ($622/mt), RMB 3,780/mt ($615/mt) and RMB 3,740/mt ($609/mt).
2. Rolled plate
The prices of all rolled plate have decreased by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt).
Accordingly, 14-40 mm Q235A and 14-40 mm Q345A grade plate prices are at RMB 3,650/mt ($594/mt) and RMB 3,760/mt ($612/mt) respectively.
3. Pickled and oiled
The prices of SPHC, SPHD and SPHE grade products have moved down by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt), while the prices of all other pickled and oiled products were unchanged.
4. Electro-galvanized
The prices of all CQ (commercial quality) grade electro-galvanized products have increased by RMB 50/mt ($8/mt), while the prices of all other pickled and oiled products have remained unchanged.
5. The prices of cold rolled products, hot dip galvanized (HDG), color-coated products, non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel and grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel have remained unchanged.
As a result, the price of 1.0 mm Q195 grade cold rolled steel is currently standing at RMB 4,300/mt ($700/mt), while the price of 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x CQ195 grade cold rolled steel is at RMB 4,270/mt ($695/mt).
All prices are ex-works, excluding 17 percent VAT, and are effectively immediately.
