Will US import HDG tonnages fall off in September?

The most recent import statistics show that as of Sept. 15, US import tonnages of hot dipped galvanized sheets and strip have totaled 87,662 mt (license data,) and many are wondering if this months’ import tonnages will fall below levels seen in August, when US import tonnages of hot dipped galvanized sheets and strip totaled 269,796 mt (license data).   “Arrivals of last minute orders that were booked in advance of the trade case seem to be tapering off,” according to one Midwest-based source.  And while it’s true that US-based traders continue to book trials, those tonnages have remained modest.
