According to market sources, demand in the Turkish domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market is still low, while prices have remained unchanged over the past week at $420-440/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, for December production. However, buyers are putting more pressure on domestic CRC prices following the declines seen in import CRC offers to Turkey. As a result, Turkish producers are expected to reduce their prices for the local Turkish CRC market in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, spot CRC prices in the local Turkish market have remained unchanged over the past week. However, transaction activity has declined significantly due to year-end considerations. Currently, spot CRC prices in the local Turkish are as follows:

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

480-505

485-500

0.7-2 mm CRC

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for November delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
