Demand in the Turkish cold rolled coil (CRC) market has declined significantly due to the increase in strength this week of the US dollar against the Turkish lira, with buyers deciding to keep their purchasing activity to minimum levels. On the other hand, SteelOrbis has been informed that Turkish steel producers' CRC prices have remained unchanged week on week at $540-545/mt ex-works, excluding VAT and for April production.

Spot CRC prices in the local Turkish market are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

640-665

645-660

0.7-2 mm CRC

600-615

610-625

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.
