US Steel announces $50/nt flat rolled spot price increase

In a letter Wednesday, US Steel said that effective immediately, base pricing for all new flat rolled spot orders would be increased by a minimum of $2.50 cwt. ($55/mt or $50/nt).  US Steel indicated that the increase is applicable to all open quotes and/or negotiations where an agreement is yet to have been concluded. Additionally, pricing extras will be fully applied.
