A week ago, many offshore producers US import hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coil revised their futures pricing in hopes of luring traders back into the market. This week, however, things seem to have leveled off. “Indian and Chinese mills are looking to re-fill their order books, plain and simple,” according to one Texas-based trader source, noting that the revised prices definitely raised a few eyebrows. This week however, activity will be sluggish at best, as many in the US have taken off early to extend their Thanksgiving holiday.
