Buyers and sellers of US import hot dipped galvanized (HDG) and Galvalume coil say that as a whole, the market has remained steady in the past week, adding that traders continue to court orders from clients, but both traders and clients are packing all contracts with cancellation clauses due to the still-pending announcement of the findings in the Section 232 investigation.
“The market is just treading water,” a source said. “At this point we’re all just waiting for clarity.”
Activity for the rest of the current week, along with next week, is expected to be light due to the upcoming July 4 holiday.
