US domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) prices are stable this week, but SteelOrbis sources anticipate offer prices will soon fall as they did last month. For now, CRC spot prices remained in the general of $38.00-$39.00 cwt. ($838-$860/mt or $760-$780/nt) ex-mill.
As for imports, Indian mills came through with the increase on flat product orders that they’ve been hinting at for weeks. Indian CRC offers edged up $0.50 cwt. ($11/mt or $10/nt) to the approximate range of $36.00-$37.00 cwt. ($794-$816/mt or $720-$740/nt) DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports. Sources are uncertain how much of this price increase will stick with the US domestic prices expected to soften.
Meanwhile, Chinese offers remained at stable at $33.50-$34.50 cwt. ($739-761/mt or $670-$690/nt) DDP loaded truck into US Gulf ports. Sources anticipate movement in these offers by month end.
