The most commonly reported spot price transaction range for US domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) has once again held lateral, $41-$42 cwt. ($904-$926/mt or $820-$840/nt), ex-Midwest mill.

Current price points, which have increased by $18.00 cwt. ($397/mt or $360/nt) since January, are expected to hold through the summer, if not the end of the year due to decreased availability of imports due to the still-pending trade case.  The final determinations in the antidumping / countervailing duty case are set to be announced on July 25.

June 14 data from the US Department of Commerce, Enforcement and Compliance shows that during the month of May, the US imported 193,693 mt of CRC from global suppliers.  In contrast, the US imported 293,044 mt of CRC in June 2015.
