Over the past two weeks, demand for import steel plate in Turkey has remained slack. Despite the slackness of demand, import steel plate prices for Turkey have increased with the support of the $15/mt increase in ex-CIS slab prices in the given period.

In this context, ex-Ukraine shipbuilding plate offers to Turkey have increased by $25/mt over the past two weeks to $440-445/mt CFR, for January shipment. Meanwhile, Macedonian hot rolled plate (HRP) offers to Turkey have remained stable in the range of $570-580/mt CFR during the same period.

In addition, Bulgarian HRP offers to Turkey have risen by €17.5/mt in the given period to €440-445/mt ($484-490/mt) CIF, for January shipment.
