Influenced by the approach of Ramadan which starts this year in mid-July, flat steel demand in the UAE market has remained fairly poor this week. It is reported that buyers in the UAE are planning to restrict their flat steel purchases within the scope of meeting their urgent needs until after Ramadan.

Hot rolled coil (HRC) import offers to the UAE are standing at $655/mt CFR, while hot rolled plate (HRP) offers are at $700/mt CFR, both for June shipments.
