Turkish steelmakers’ HRC export offers

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Turkish flat steel producers, especially Erdemir, have managed to reach a significant sales volume to Europe from their June production.
 
While Turkish producers are currently offering August production HRC to the export markets at $770-780/mt FOB, it is reported that current demand from Europe lacks strength due to the approach of the summer holidays in Europe and the current exchange rate of the euro against the US dollar.
