Turkish PPGI prices not affected by HDG price movements

Demand in the Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market is still at medium levels, while domestic and export prices have remained unchanged despite the ending of strikes at two of Turkey's leading steel producers, namely, Isdemir and MMK Metalurji, and the softening seen in Turkish hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil prices. Judging their PPGI prices to be at reasonable levels, after they had trended at lower levels for a long period, Turkish mills have not changed their export offers either.

Accordingly, Turkish mills' offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are still standing at $1,140-1,210/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $1,000-1,030/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $910-950/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.
