In the Turkish domestic flat steel market, the price uptrend which began last week has continued this week.

Accordingly, Turkish flat steel producer Colakoglu Metalurji has increased its hot rolled coil (HRC) prices from $690/mt ex-works for late April rolling to $700/mt ex-works, while integrated steelmaker Erdemir is currently mentioning $700/mt ex-works for HRC and $810/mt ex-works for cold rolled coils (CRC).

In the meantime, concluding its latest HRC bookings at $665/mt ex-works for March rolling, MMK Metalurji is not currently giving any offers for new production this week, but is concluding sales from stock at $680/mt ex-works instead.

While producers' HRC offers are generally at $700/mt ex-works, it is heard that the latest transactions have been concluded at $690/mt ex-works.
