Turkish flat steel market expects new import prices to be stable or slightly down

Demand in the Turkish flat steel market is still weak. All eyes on the market have turned to the anticipated new import offers for Turkey, which are expected to remain unchanged or register just a slight reduction as foreign mills had cut their list and transaction prices for April and their prices are already considered to be low.

The most recent flat steel import offers for Turkey were as follows: Russian hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Turkey were standing at $550-570/mt CFR, while cold rolled coil (CRC) offers stood at $660-670/mt CFR. In addition, Romanian HRC and CRC offers to Turkey were at $565-575/mt CFR and $670-680/mt CFR respectively, while ex-Ukraine HRC offers were standing at $510-515/mt CFR and CRC offers were at $610-615/mt CFR.
