Flat steel demand in Turkey is weak in general and the situation is the same for import materials. Buyers in Turkey are opting to limit their supplies in line with their urgent needs, as prices are still trending downwards. The downtrend seen in global steel markets is also worsening the situation.
Russian hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Turkey are now standing at $570-580/mt CFR after a drop of $5/mt, and cold rolled coil (CRC) offers are at $675-690/mt CFR, decreasing by $5-10/mt, both week on week. In the meantime, Romanian HRC and CRC offers to Turkey have both decreased by $10/mt since last week to $590-595/mt CFR and $690-695/mt CFR respectively.
Ukrainian HRC and CRC offers have also declined by $10/mt week on week to $550-555/mt CFR and $630-635/mt CFR.
