Ahead of the end-of-Ramadan holiday, demand for import flat steel in Turkey has improved slightly, with buyers concluding purchases of imports, having previously postponed their import purchases for a long time. Turkish buyers decided to conclude deals for imports since import prices have been more advantageous compared to domestic flat steel prices, while they have thus met some of their needs for August. Transaction prices stood at $455-460 CFR for HRC and at $520-530/mt CFR for CRC.

During the past week, Ukrainian hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Turkey have remained unchanged at $455-460/mt CFR, while Russian HRC offers to the same destination are still at $465-475/mt CFR. Meanwhile, Ukrainian and Russian cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have moved up by $10/mt to $510-515/mt CFR and $520-530/mt CFR respectively, week on week.
