During the week ending September 30, prices in the Chinese domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market have indicated stable movement, while transaction activity in the overall market has continued to be slack. Average CRC prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, with the approach of the National Day Holiday (October 1-7), traders have been unwilling to adjust their CRC offer prices. Meanwhile, traders said they had been expecting better demand from downstream users ahead of the holiday period, though no improvement in demand has been observed. It is thought that CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move on a soft trend after the holiday.
