During the week ending October 30, Chinese domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) prices have indicated a slight downtrend for thick specifications, while remaining on a stable trend for thin specifications, with overall transaction activity still at low levels. Average HDG prices in the local Chinese market can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.

During the given week, purchasing activity has been sluggish due to tightness of liquidity among downstream users. Currently, HDG materials in the market consist mainly of those delivered in September and, when these materials are consumed, lower-priced materials delivered in October are expected to predominate in the market. It is expected that HDG prices in the Chinese domestic market will be characterized by downward movement in the coming week.
