According to market sources, demand in the Turkish domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market is still weak, while prices are currently at $410-430/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT, and for December production, indicating a decline by $10/mt week on week amid low-priced import offers. Due to the Turkish lira losing strength against the US dollar amid the current political tensions between Turkey and Russia, trading activity in the local Turkish CRC spot market has slowed down and is currently at weak levels.

Currently, spot CRC prices in the local Turkish are as follows:

0.6 mm CRC

480-505

485-500

0.7-2 mm CRC

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis, for November delivery, and exclude 18 percent VAT.
