Swedish steelmaker SSAB EMEA has increased its hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), hot dip galvanized coil (HDG) and heavy plate prices by at least SEK 300/mt ($45/mt). The price increases apply to all orders acknowledged after December 5.

SSAB indicate that there has been a perceptible decline in steel prices during 2012, while the price increases of the producer reflect developments in the market. Rinaldo Baldi, head of Sales SSAB EMEA, stated that the price trend going forward will depend on market demand and the supply of steel.
