Negotiations for the export of hot dipped galvanized products (HDG) in Brazil remain at the level of $756/mt, FOB conditions for the G40 grade reference, a market source told SteelOrbis.

According to the source, the recent 8 percent price increase did not affect the closure of new deals to the US, the main destination of the Brazilian exports of the product. It is not clear if the new price impacted sales to other destinations.

In June, Brazilian producers exported HDG in average at $602/mt, FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in April.

CSN exported at $623/mt, Usiminas at $495/mt and ArcelorMittal at $609/mt, all FOB conditions.
