Demand in the Turkish pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) market has remained on the slow side since last week, while prices have showed no changes. Due to beginning of Ramadan, the local Turkish PPGI market has been quiet and demand is not expected to rise during Ramadan.

Turkish mills' local offers for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are standing at $1,020-1,080/mt, while offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $880-930/mt and prices for RAL 9002 1 mm stand at $800-850/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

In the meantime, demand for Turkish PPGI exports has trended at medium levels, while transaction activity has been more lively compared to last month. Ex-Turkey PPGI offers, meanwhile, have remained stable since last week at $865-925/mt FOB, for July production.
