During the week ending November 25, average prices in the Chinese domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market have seen a slight declining trend, though CRC prices in many local markets have remained stable, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at low levels. Average CRC prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, CRC prices in northern China have indicated a declining trend due to large snowfalls, while prices in eastern and southern China have remained stable as not many CRC supplies were delivered into these two markets from northern China amid the snowy weather conditions. Meanwhile, finished steel futures prices have indicated some increases from bottom levels, thereby boosting sentiment among market participants a little. It is thought that CRC prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely move on a stable trend in the coming week.
