According to market sources, the slight recovery of demand seen in the local pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market in Turkey in the previous week has disappeared during the past week, with demand still remaining at weak levels. Market players state that buyers are postponing their PPGI bookings since the Turkish lira is losing strength against the euro and the US dollar. At present, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $820-845/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $705-740/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $640-675/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for September production

This week, demand for Turkish PPGI in the export markets is still sluggish, while inquiries have decreased after increasing last week. Turkish PPGI export offer prices have remained unchanged week on week at $695-745/mt FOB for September production
