During the given week, flat steel prices in the Chinese domestic market have indicated a declining trend, exerting some negative pressure on export offers, and so overseas buyers have been pushing for lower flat steel prices from China. However, Chinese suppliers' offer prices for flat products have remained stable, though some downticks have been observed in prices in actual transactions. It is expected that ex-China flat steel prices will indicate a slight downtrend in the coming week due to slack demand in the traditional offseason in Southeast Asia, China's main export destination.
