Current offer levels for import slabs in Taiwan are floating stable in the range of $540-550/mt CFR Kaohsiung. Reports indicate that buyers in Taiwan are not very eager to book slabs due to the slack HRC market conditions, although their slab inventories are low. SteelOrbis understands that Taiwanese slab buyers bid at around $500-510/mt CFR Taiwan, acceptability of which is currently seems questionable by slab suppliers.
