A source linked to a slab producer in Brazil informed that $390/mt is the current reference FOB price for export of slabs of the basic commercial grades. Last week his reference was a range of $385/mt to $390/mt FOB.

Meanwhile a second source, also linked to a slab producer, said that he is selling the product at $370/mt, against $360/mt last week, both FOB conditions.

During October, for price deals probably closed in August, Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem (CSP) exported slabs at $322/mt, ThyssenKrupp CSA at $349/mt, ArcelorMittal Tubarao at $357/mt and Gerdau Acominas at $336/mt, all FOB conditions.
