Market sources have told SteelOrbis that a Russian steel producer is offering slab to the Far Eastern markets at the price levels of $525-530/mt FOB Vladivistok for April shipments.
However, Far Eastern traders state that these offers are quite high and based on current market trends prices for this material should be at $540-550/mt CFR or $505-510/mt FOB. Accordingly, these slab offers may be considered as intended to test the market.
