According to market sources, demand in the local pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market in Turkey is still weak, while prices have continued their downtrend after the Feast of Sacrifice holiday, decreasing by $35/mt over the past week. Meanwhile, buyers are still postponing their purchases due to the ongoing economic and political uncertainty in Turkey. At present, Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $765-780/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $650-675/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $585-610/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT, and are for October production.

Meanwhile, demand for Turkish PPGI is also slack in the export markets due to the downtrend of flat steel prices, while buyers continue to postpone their bookings. Turkish PPGI export offer prices have decreased by $25/mt week on week at $640-690/mt FOB for October production.
