Price of Brazilian slab exports remain stable

A local exporter told SteelOrbis that $425/mt, FOB conditions, remains the base price for negotiations for Brazilian slab exports, having the basic commercial grades as reference.

According to the source, slab demand is stable and no significant price changes are expected for the medium term.

In March, for price deals probably closed in January, Companhia Siderurgica do Pecem exported slab in average at $403/mt, ArcelorMittal Tubarao at $449/mt and ThyssenKrupp CSA at $427/mt, all FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in January.
