According to market sources, some slight improvement in demand has been witnessed in the Turkish domestic hot dip galvanized (HDG) coil market since last week, though it is still too early to talk about a genuine recovery of demand. Market players believe that demand may continue to improve as it has not showed any sign of weakening even after the price increase seen last week.
In the Turkish domestic market, HDG sales prices have remained unchanged since last week and are currently as follows:
Product | Price ($/mt) |
HDG 0.50 mm 100gr/m² | 775-800 |
HDG 1 mm 100gr/m² | 725-745 |
HDG 2 mm 100gr/m² | 705-725 |
The above prices, which may differ depending on product quality, are ex-works, exclude VAT, and are for advance payments.
On the other hand, demand for Turkish HDG exports is still low, while June production Turkish HDG export prices have remained unchanged since last week at $760-780/mt FOB.
