According to market sources, prices have decreased in the Turkish domestic cold rolled coil (CRC) market due to weak demand and high stock levels. Market sources state that, while there is tightness in hot rolled coil (HRC) availability, oversupply exists in the cold rolled coil (CRC) market. Local Turkish CRC prices have decreased by $20/mt over the past week.

Spot CRC prices are as follows:

 Product

Price ($/mt)

Eregli

Gebze

0.6 mm CRC

710-730

715-725

0.7-2 mm CRC

670-680

680-690

The offers are on ex-warehouse basis and exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish producers' offers for August production CRC can still be found in the range of $680-690/mt ex-works, indicating no changes as compared to last week.
